Rumors of new Amiibos continue to emerge as we get closer and closer to the next Nintendo Direct event. While the majority of them remain unknown, we can confirm what character won't be making it to store shelves anytime soon.
Over the past week, the Nintendo toy manufacturer has been all over the news due to an alarming rise in employee suicides. When pressed for an answer, a representative tipped his hand by stating the deaths were directly linked to the toy line's upcoming wave. The spokesman, who did not disclose the full line of products, did provide investigators with an intriguing detail: all deaths occurred during the production of the Waluigi figurine. Reports of comic mischief and general unhappiness began days before the molds were cast. The human resource team indicated their subject's worsened into deep sadness and introspective ramblings of life's futility as Waluigi began to take form. Many workers were seen wandering away from factory equipment without following safety protocol and forming a line into the injection device, and inevitably ending it all amidst the furnace. While we can't say for certain how many workers have died, we can confirm that all of the finished figures were unaffected and should arrive at retailers soon.
