Steve Wallace, 21, student and avid gamer is shocked. Last Friday Steve logged onto Xbox Live for his nightly session of Destiny when he was verbally accosted without warning. Using a slew of words inappropriate for use on the internet, a group of adolescent men began to berate Steve. They accused him of slanderous activity, and began making jests regarding mental and physical health issues that his mother has struggled with for over a decade.
"It was cruel, obviously", said Wallace,"but I couldn't believe how they knew about it. Mom had a lot of trouble going from boyfriend to boyfriend, and she would try and bury all that trouble with chocolate and strawberry milkshakes." Steve lamented.
"Usually guys that play FPS games follow a strict code of honor, especially when it comes to sportsmanship. These guys are probably just playing for the first time and haven't become a part of the community yet", says Wallace hopefully. "I'm willing to forgive them. I mean, we were all new once." - James "Nate" Macbeth
